Kings Gap Hotel redevelopment



March 2010


A revised (£6.5m) scheme was approved by Wirral Council in March 2010. The new scheme has 56 rather than 66 bedrooms.


Nov 2008


Planning permission (for a £7m redevelopment with 66 hotel rooms) was given by Wirral Council in November 2008 - see Wirral News article


May 2008


The Kings Gap Hotel in Hoylake was purchased by the Sanguine Group and with the plan of being completely remodelled at a cost of £10m, with re-branding as a Ramada hotel.

The plans were to retain the original old house, containing 16 rooms, with a new-build element with 96 rooms and suites, and an underground car park.
